Advanced riders are able to walk, trot, and canter comfortably on the horse. The rider is not only able to stay on the horse, but is able to better the horse through collection. If the horse acts up, the rider is able to discipline the horse and continue on with the ride.

Advanced riders may choose to enroll in private or group lessons. Advanced riders may take lessons on the horses at Plum Grove Equestrian Center, or may bring their own horse to the farm. Advanced riders surpassing Plum Grove Equestrian Center will be placed with desired professionals..
