At the Plum Grove Equestrian Horse Camp in 2005, there were six six year olds in attendance. We had a great time! We met in the morning and discussed our plans for the day. Then we went to the barn and completed our barn chores. We learned about grooming and tacking the horses. We rode each day - some days we did balance exersizes on the longe line and other days we played games on horseback. Then we untacked the horses, brushed them, and made sure they all had hay and water for lunch. Then we made a craft. At the end we got together and dicussed what we learned that day. On Thursday of horse camp, we created an obstacle course and rode the horses through it. On Friday, we did balance exersizes on the longe line and rode through the obstacle course for the parents.
