Short Stirrups Horse Camp

Two camps were run in 2007. Long Stirrups Campers were 8 to 12 year olds who are able to walk and trot off lead. Campers learned to canter at horse camp. Campers also learned grooming, tacking, horse anatomy, basic horse care and improved their riding through balance exersizes, longe lessons, games on horseback, and obtacle courses. Short Stirrups Horse Camp consisted of campers ages six and up with little or no horse experience. Campers learned about horses through grooming, tacking, riding, and a daily craft.
